Wren Beta — what that means

ny.gov

could not be measured

Admitted without a measurement — reviewed

This site is in Wren’s index on an owner review, not on a completed measurement: our measuring browser was refused, but an ordinary request returned a readable page. It has no grade. Speed, ad load, readability and accessibility are unmeasured here, not good.

Reviewed 2026-10-13 by the owner. Our measuring browser was refused (http status 403). An ordinary request got HTTP 200 and 36,923 characters of text.

Owner decision 2026-10-13: "admit ny.gov". New York State government host with no paywall or account surface. The measuring browser got HTTP 403 (https://ny.gov/ on 2026-08-31; the DMV driver's manual chapter 1 on 2026-10-10). On 2026-10-13 the signed WrenBot fetch got HTTP 200 for that chapter (36,923 extracted characters, no challenge) and for the DMV ID-44 PDF (https://dmv.ny.gov/document/id-44, 301 to /forms/id44.pdf, application/pdf, 278,826 bytes, the same bytes as a plain browser-UA fetch); robots.txt allows both paths. The PDF extracts as 4 pages, all with a text layer, opening without a password (owner-password copy restriction only), 19,732 characters. Admission covers the whole ny.gov unit, every *.ny.gov subdomain. Readability and accessibility are unmeasured: the grade stays withheld.

Every attempt to render this site failed, so there is no grade to report.

A failed render is absence of evidence. It does not mean the site is bad, and it does not get the site excluded — it stays queued for another attempt.
